Maldives

The Maldives, situated in the Indian Ocean, comprises 1192 islands spanning the equator, totaling approximately 90,000 square kilometers. Despite its vast expanse, only 298 square kilometers are dry land. These islands are organized into a double chain of 26 atolls, offering a unique geographical landscape.
